New Jersey Cannabis Banking

  The New  Jersey Assembly Committee approved a bill in December to  provide  state-level  protections for banks and insurers. A Bill from Assemblymember Verlina Reynolds was passed by the Assembly Financial Instituitions and Insurance Committee.  Banks that service state legal cannabis business would not be immunized. The committees  action comes as congessional leaders expected to file Legislation to contain broader safeguards.  Congressional Lawmakers are expected to introduce Legislation that includes language from the secure and Fair Enforcement (SAFE) Banking Act.  The Fair Enforcement (Safe) Banking Act was introduced to Congress and is awaiting Approval. Adult Use Rise in New Jersey Last Fiscal Quarter

Adult Cannabis use in the state of New jersey as jumped with in the last quarter of the 2022 fiscal year. Hitting 100 million for the first time the state reports since Recreational approval.   In The three months of July to September sales of Recreation Cannabis reached $ 116,572,533.   A 46% percent increase from the prior Quarter at $ 79 ,698,831 . New Jersey has awarded 36 Cannabusiness License for New Jersey Entrepreneurs including 15 dispensaries. Expected Consumer Volume to grow while prices decrease .   The Adult Cannabis Use Market open back in April of 2022 taking in 5  million Cannabis Tax Revenue .   New Jersey has plans to launch a Training Academy by the NJ Business Action Center in early 2023. What is Cannabis   Cannabis is a plant of the Cannabaceae fa mily and contains more than eighty biologically active chemical compounds. The most well-known compounds are delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). Parts of the  Cannabis sativa  plant have been controlled under the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) since 1970 under the drug class "Marihuana" (commonly referred to as "marijuana") [21 U.S.C. 802(16)].
