Adult Use Rise in New Jersey Last Fiscal Quarter

Adult Cannabis use in the state of New jersey as jumped with in the last quarter of the 2022 fiscal year. Hitting 100 million for the first time the state reports since Recreational approval.  

In The three months of July to September sales of Recreation Cannabis reached $116,572,533.  

A 46% percent increase from the prior Quarter at $79,698,831.

New Jersey has awarded 36 Cannabusiness License for New Jersey Entrepreneurs including 15 dispensaries. Expected Consumer Volume to grow while prices decrease. 



The Adult Cannabis Use Market open back in April of 2022 taking in 5 million Cannabis Tax Revenue. 

New Jersey has plans to launch a Training Academy by the NJ Business Action Center in early 2023.

Another way the industry is expanding is Approval of License for Public Consumption Areas.  

Approval for this License was made in early December.  

 

Senate President Nicholas Scutari (D) Authorize the governor to enter Agreements for interstate Cannabis Commerce with other states that have cannabis legalization.  

Agreements Could only be forged if Federal law changes, or if the Justice Department issues guidance permitting such activity.  

The New Jersey Assembly Committee approved a bill in December to provide state-level protections for banks and insurers.  

Bill approved in October that allows Licensed Cannabusiness to deduct certain expenses on their state tax returns.

As the industry continues to be blocked from making Federal Deductions under IRS Code 280E. 

Senate President also Filed legislation to legalize psilocybin in New Jersey and the cultivation of psychedelics at home.
